Week 5

In the short video, multiple people gather into a small elevator and begin playing their own music. The music clashes and creates a loud unpleasant sound for everyone else. The author's purpose is to teach people about common courtesy. This is the reason because if the people had common courtesy, there wouldn't be the clashing and unpleasant sound from the music combining. If they had just had headphones like the last guy, there wouldn't be a problem. I identified the purpose from the last guy having headphones and everyone else stopped playing their own music out loud. The audience could be targeted towards everyone. I think it can be towards everyone because everyone needs common courtesy and almost everyone has ridden an elevator. Three ways this can teach people about community is common courtesy towards others, respect others opinions and preferences, and to just work together.

Week 3

I like to listen to a lot of genres of music, but my favorite is rock and metal. I listen to this playlist the most when I am working out because the intensity puts me in a focused mood. One of my favorite bands is System of a Down. My favorite songs by them are "Toxicity", "Chop Suey", and "Sugar". All three of those songs are very sporadic and upbeat, which I feel describes my personality. Another band that I enjoy is Slipknot. Their songs are intensive and push me through my workouts. My favorite songs are "Psychosocial" and "Spit it Out". Both of those songs are my go-to for lifting heavy weights and breaking personal records. My favorite song as of now is "Let the Sparks Fly" by Thousand Foot Krutch. This song has a good mix of upbeat and fast sounds mixed with good lyrics. The Beastie Boys have been a great addition to my playlists as well. My favorite song from them is "Brass Monkey" along with "Inte...

Week 2

The Budweiser advertisement was pointed towards people that are 21 or older. The target audience is people that drink alcohol and are 21 or older because the legal drinking age is 21. They are targeting drinkers because it is easier to persuade someone into buying their product rather than persuading a non drinker.      The Life cereal advertisement is pointed at parents of younger kids. This commercial explains that the cereal isn't one of the boring nutrition cereals because it tastes good as well as being healthy. The parents are targeted rather than the children because the parents would be buying the cereal.     The Nike commercial with Colin Kaepernick is pointed towards everyone. Everyone has a dream, whether they think they do or not. You shouldn't listen to people calling your dream crazy, because that's the point. You want to be the best their ever was in your dreams.     We should be critical in the intended audiences so...
