Week 12

 She means that lying has no power from just being said. It takes someone else to believe the lie in order for it to have an effect. This means that lies are have zero effect until someone chooses to believe that said lie. I agree with that statement, because I could say anything I want, but if no one believes it, it doesn't matter. Lying connects us with what we wish we are and what we are by allowing us to say untrue things about ourselves. Those untrue things are usually what we want to happen or wish to happen. I agree with truth #2. I believe this because we all do not like being lied to, but we all lie to make ourselves seem more interesting or cool. We like lying if it benefits us, not if it harms us. Some techniques is to look at speech. Non contracted denial, distancing. Body language such as freezing upper body, looking into eyes too much, Fake smile. I agree with Meyer when she says that honesty is worth preserving. We can create a change by teaching everyone how to rese...
